Jesse McConnell
Jesse McConnell is a Project Leader for Jetty and serves as CEO with Webtide, LLC.
Jesse has been an active open source contributor for many years working primarily with Jetty, Apache Maven, and a number of other supporting open source projects on the fringes of those communities. He has spoken at a number of conferences and java users groups over the years. For various clients Jesse has worked deeply with many different ‘big data’ and nosql systems such as Apache Cassandra and Apache Hadoop. He has served on the Eclipse Foundation Planning Council and is the current Jetty representative on the Runtime PMC. He has also played a lead role in migration of Jetty to Eclipse and in managing the intellectual property aspects of Jetty within that environment.
Greg Wilkins
Greg is the founder of Mort Bay Consulting currently serves as Chief Architect with Webtide, LLC.
Greg is the lead developer of the Jetty open source servlet server and a member of the experts group for the servlet specification from the Java Community Process.
Greg has contributed to Geronimo, JBoss, activemq, DWR and other open source projects. Born in Sydney in 1964, Greg graduated from Sydney University with an honours degree in Computer Science in 1986. Since then he has worked as developer, designer, team leader and architect on varied problem domains including telecoms and WWW.
Jan Bartel
Jan Bartel is a Project Leader for Jetty and one of the co-founders of Webtide, LLC. and Mort Bay Consulting.
She has extensive industry experience as a team leader and consultant, working with Java, JavaEE, and other key related technologies. She is a contributor and committer to a number of open source projects in addition to Jetty. During her 20-year career, she has delivered both client-side and server-side applications in industry sectors as diverse as online services, telecommunications, and banking and finance.
Simone Bordet
Simone Bordet is a Lead Architect at Webtide, LLC.
Active open source developer, he founded and contributed to various open source projects such as Jetty, CometD, MX4J, Foxtrot, LiveTribe, and others. Simone has been technical speaker at various national and international conferences such as Devoxx, JavaOne, CodeMotion, etc., and is an active contributor to the Java User Group of Torino, Italy. Simone specializes in server-side multi-thread development, J2EE application development, in Comet technologies applied to web development, web network protocols and in high performance JVM tuning.
Joakim Erdfelt
Joakim is a Senior Engineer with Webtide, LLC.
Joakim has been involved in open source since well before the term was coined and has been a committer on a slew of open source projects including Jetty and Apache Maven. He has a broad background across computer science and extensive work in Mobile app development, ‘Big Data’ and designing Map/Reduce processes. He has lead the work on the latest Websocket implementation in Jetty 9 and has deep experience with the protocol. His background in test development is without measure.
